With over 20 years under his belt, Matt prizes himself as being an extremely fluent and versatile musician. He has extensive experience performing jazz, classical, bluegrass and latin music in addition to composing and arranging his own music and the music of others.

Vinyl DJ

As a long time vinyl collector, it only made sense that Matt started his own DJ career as well. Known as “DJ Cogs”, he specializes in spinning funk, disco, jazz fusion, hip hop and neo soul.

Bass Guitar

Matt has toured the country with Zoofunkyou, the band he has co-led for the past 10+ years. He’s also shared the stage with some of Chicago’s greatest musicians like Howard Levy, Ruben Alvarez, Paul Wertico and many more.
